Andrea Zemenides is a director in the Financial Services Practice in London, advising on the finance aspects of complex structured and secured real estate finance transactions. Andrea acts for a range of UK-based and international lenders and borrowers on both bilateral and syndicated facilities.

Andrea has significant experience working on transactions involving operational real estate assets, including acquisitions and refinancing of large care home portfolios, purpose-built student accommodation and hotels.

Andrea has also spent time on a legal secondment, advising the general real estate, hotels and housing teams at a major clearing bank.

  • Advising HSBC on the refinancing of The Wellesley Luxury Collection hotel and the acquisition and development of The Langley, Luxury Collection hotel, and dealing with the associated direct arrangements with a major US brand.
  • Advising a UK clearing bank on the refinancing of loan facilities of £175 million secured on hotels in London and Manchester.
  • Advising a UK clearing bank on the refinancing of the Queens Gate Hotel in Kensington.
  • Advising Quadrant Real Estate Advisors in relation to a £37.5 million mezzanine facility for refinancing the acquisition of properties in Bristol and Fife.
  • Advising a major German bank on several prime City of London financings.

  • Advising leading care home operator, HC-One Limited, on a £570 million refinancing with the healthcare REIT Welltower, Inc.
  • Advising Formation Capital LLC on the acquisition of the Southern Cross/NHP Group, on £100 million acquisition facilities for Meridian Healthcare Group, and a £172 million sale and leaseback financing with a US REIT.
  • Advising London & Cambridge Properties on several investment and development facilities, aggregating in excess of £700 million with various lenders.
  • Advising a luxury retailer on a £350 million term facility and a £200 million revolving facility.
  • Advising a Singaporean investor on the £114 million financing of a 90,000-square-foot office building in central London.
  • Advising GCP Student Living plc on facilities for the acquisition of newly built student accommodation.
  • Advising Haulfryn Group (a leisure operator and owner) on the refinancing of £50 million debt.
