Naomi Briercliffe Appointed to UK Attorney General’s Panel of Public International Law Counsel

International Dispute Resolution partner Naomi Briercliffe has been appointed to the UK Attorney General’s Panel of Public International Law Counsel to the Crown for a five-year term.

Members of the Public International Law Panel advise the Government on matters of public international law and undertake cases involving public international law in international courts and in the courts of the UK.

Ms. Briercliffe spearheads the firm’s public international law initiative, alongside Rodman Bundy and Luka Misetic. Areas of her practice include advising on matters of international human rights law, international environmental law, sovereign immunity, transboundary disputes and treaty interpretation. She has also advised clients on matters before the International Court of Justice, Iran-US Claims Tribunal, European Court of Human Rights and African Court of Human and Peoples’ Rights.

Ms. Briercliffe also represents states, corporates and high-net worth individuals across multiple jurisdictions in commercial and investment treaty arbitrations and sits as arbitrator.
