Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that Nicole Rodgers, a leading authority on critical mineral supply chain security and sustainability, has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor.
Ms. Rodgers is the founding President of the Alliance for Mineral Security, a national coalition dedicated to strengthening the availability, processing, and responsible development of critical minerals essential to clean energy technologies, advanced manufacturing, national defense systems, and next-generation innovation. She most recently served as Senior Director at Clark Hill and previously was Chief Government and External Affairs Officer at a boutique investment and advisory firm focused on a critical mineral supply chain portfolio.
Ms. Rodgers has played a key role in many landmark industry efforts, including the recently announced $1.4 billion partnership between the U.S. government and two of her clients, Vulcan Elements and ReElement Technologies, which established a new model for domestic critical mineral processing and magnet manufacturing.
With nearly three decades of experience in government affairs, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement, Ms. Rodgers has worked across the energy, transportation, finance, and government-services sectors. She has advised companies, investors, and public-sector partners on industrial policy, supply chain resilience, geopolitical risk, and the construction of public-private capital stacks, and has played a central role in shaping the evolving U.S. critical minerals ecosystem.
Ms. Rodgers joins the Squire Patton Boggs Advisory Group, an integrated team of senior strategists helping clients execute on risks and opportunities at the intersection of industrial policy, economic statecraft, and business diplomacy. She will work closely with the firm’s Public Policy, Regulatory and Energy & Natural Resources practices to support clients participating in the rapidly changing landscape of critical mineral sourcing, processing, and sustainability.
“Critical minerals and, more broadly, critical supply chains are among the most pressing issues for U.S. national security, industrial policy and economic competitiveness,” said Daniel Rudder, Head of the Advisory Group. “We have spent the past year building a team designed to help clients navigate this space with unmatched strategic insight and access. Bringing Nicole onto the team marks another transformational moment. Her addition significantly expands the value we can deliver, enabling our clients to operate at the very front edge of this rapidly evolving landscape.”
“Nicole’s addition to our Advisory Group brings a leader whose insight into critical mineral supply chains—one of the defining issues shaping global economic competitiveness, national security and technological advancement—will deliver tremendous value to our clients,” said Ed Newberry, Squire Patton Boggs Global Managing Partner. “Her deep policy knowledge, industry relationships and hands-on experience with complex transactions in this space make her a powerful addition to our global team.”
“I’m thrilled to join Squire Patton Boggs at a moment when control of critical minerals is pivotal to global competition, economic stability, and national defense,” said Ms. Rodgers. “The firm’s global platform, multidisciplinary sector expertise and commitment to helping clients solve complex challenges provide an ideal place to continue advancing resilient, responsible supply chains for the technologies of the future.”
