Global law firm Squire Patton Boggs has advised its client, a US based manufacturer in the wind energy sector, in securing a significant victory before US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Following a successful protest, CBP has approved the admission of previously halted products – valued at more than $60 million – along with all future product shipments, after the products were initially paused under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act.
This favorable outcome preserves critical US manufacturing operations and protects thousands of American jobs.
The Squire Patton Boggs team overseeing this matter was led by International Trade & Foreign Investment Tariff and Customs of counsel Chris Duncan, with significant contributions from trade investigations specialist Shawn Harwood.
