About Alison

Alison Davidson-Cox is a debt finance partner in our Financial Services Practice. Alison specialises in acquisition, corporate and leveraged finance, acting for banks, private credit funds and alternative lenders, as well as private equity investors and corporate borrowers in the mid-market.

Alison advises on senior, super senior, unitranche loans and subordinated facilities, as well as other alternative funding solutions involving banks and private sources of capital, on domestic and cross-border transactions. Alison enjoys helping clients at every stage of the deal life cycle, from initial investment through to portfolio management and exit, and works collaboratively with CFOs, financiers and other professionals on transactions.

Alison has been named in Legal 500 since 2021 as a Rising Star or Next Generation Partner, and in Chambers 2024 as an Up and Coming Partner.

  • Acted for NatWest in relation to growth funding provided to Cloudclevr Investments Limited (a Rigby group company).

  • Acted for OakNorth in relation to the financing of the acquisition of Bespoke Kitchen Foods Limited (backed by LDC).

  • Acted for Lloyds Bank in relation to the refinancing of IDSL fire doors and growth funding (backed by LDC).

  • Acted for Santander in relation to the refinancing of Alina Care (backed by Bridges).

  • Acted for LDC in relation to its investment and exit in Independence Governance Group (funded by HSBC).

  • Acted for Shard Credit Partners in relation to all of its investments and private credit facilities made into UK businesses from its first fund.

  • Acted for LDC in relation to its investment in a database, cloud and applications managed service provider funded by Ares and Clydesdale Bank plc.

  • Acted for Palatine Private Equity in relation to its investment in a UK accountancy firm funded by Shawbrook.

  • Acted for Lloyds Bank plc in its role as super senior lender in a syndicate alongside US funds.

  • Acted for Santander UK plc in relation to revolving credit facilities provided to LEVC.
