Devinder Singh leads the Restructuring & Insolvency Practice Group based in our Birmingham office. Devinder's clients include insolvency practitioners, funders, corporates, creditors and directors. He advises on all aspects of corporate restructuring and insolvency, with a particular specialism in contentious work.

  • Advising the administrators of Economy Energy Trading Ltd, a gas and electricity energy supply company, including on complex distribution issues.

  • Acting for the administrators/liquidators of Duet Capital Holdings Ltd, a company specializing in the leasing of high-end musical instruments to prestigious schools, following the discovery of a multi-million pound fraud committed against its funder.

  • Acting for the administrators of Philips Trust Corporation Ltd (formerly known as The Will Writing Company) in administering tens of millions of pounds worth of trust assets pursuant to a novel distribution plan approved by the court.

  • Acting for the administrators of Olympius Developments Limited, a real estate company, on the sale of an iconic apartment block in the Northeast of England.

  • Advising boards of directors on their duties to creditors and other stakeholders during financial distress (including a leading regional football club).

  • Advising debtors and creditors in distress situations, including security enhancement and enforcement.

  • Advising insolvency practitioners and other stakeholders on all aspects of insolvency processes including investigations into fraud and breach of duty, antecedent transactions and asset tracing across jurisdictions.
