Jill Dauchy is a senior advisor in our Public Policy Practice specializing in sovereign balance sheet management. With over 25 years of experience, she has advised governments and institutions, including the World Bank, United Nations and African Development Bank, on debt management issues, financing strategies, market access and structuring innovative transactions to support development agendas.
Jill has been a trusted advisor to sovereign governments and public entities for over twenty years, and in a dozen countries throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. As the founder and CEO of Potomac Group, she focuses on issues of debt sustainability and restructuring, as well as strategies for stimulating growth, ensuring market access and infrastructure financing. Jill provides support to a multitude of sovereigns, international institutions and the public and private sector businesses
Jill began her career in finance on the Emerging Markets fixed income trading floor of a Swiss investment bank and financial services company in New York. Following the bank’s subsequent merger, she moved to London, joining its sovereign advisory team. She continued working with that team for over 15 years, advising governments worldwide before returning to the US in 2015. Prior to founding Potomac Group, Jill was a managing director at Millstein & Co.
In addition to her advisory work, Jill is the host of the globally recognized podcast, Sovereign Debt, which has been downloaded in over 159 countries. She also serves as an external expert to the IMF and is an active member of the Institute of International Finance (IIF), where she contributes to the Principles Consultative Group, the Committee for Sovereign Risk Management and the Committee for Debt Transparency.
