Jon Lucas is an associate in the Public & Infrastructure Finance Group, where he focuses his practice on public finance transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Jon served as the chief operating officer and chief compliance officer for a full-service broker-dealer and registered investment advisor. In that role, he was responsible for implementing and enforcing the firm’s compliance programs, leading the firm through Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and self-regulatory organization examinations, as well as for overseeing day-to-day operations. During his tenure, he served as a member of the firm’s board of directors, co-chair of the Investment Committee, chair of the Code of Ethics Committee and a member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) working group tasked with implementing the SEC’s Regulation Best Interest for small to mid-size broker-dealers.
He earned an Executive Coaching Certificate from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management in 2017 and a Securities Law Certificate in 2024 from Cornell University Law School.
Jon currently serves on the board of trustees of Fieldstone Farm, one of the largest therapeutic riding centers in the country, providing equine therapy to military veterans and people of all ages with a variety of emotional, physical and cognitive challenges. He is also a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
