Laura Iturrioz Muñoz is a member of the Labour & Employment team in the Madrid office and advises national and international clients on all aspects of employment law, advising on equality, discrimination and social security issues, as well as the day-to-day management of the employment cycle. Her advice ranges from recruitment and the management of employee performance and conduct to the drafting and implementation of post-contractual clauses; remuneration and reward systems; and the development of company policies.
Prior to joining the firm, Laura worked as a lawyer in the employment department of the Madrid office of a prestigious national law firm. Previously, Laura worked in the bankruptcy department of a leading Spanish law firm.
In the area of litigation, she has represented clients before labour courts and participated in trials on various labour matters.
She also has experience in representing companies in conciliation proceedings before the Mediation, Arbitration and Conciliation Service (SMAC), seeking out-of-court solutions that minimise the risks and costs of conflict. Her work includes the preparation of litigation, from communication with the opposing party to the drafting of evidence, claims and appeals.
Her practical approach and specialist knowledge is highly valued by HR departments of multinational companies in sectors such as technology, industry, transport, insurance, media, advertising, retail and services.
