Vanessa Rakel is an experienced corporate attorney and a member of our firm’s Financial Services Practice Group. Vanessa focuses her practice primarily on private funds and is based in our Cincinnati office. She brings a wealth of knowledge both from her time at leading New York law firms, and as in-house counsel at a New York-based investment management firm. She has served as counsel to asset managers, as well as private equity fund and hedge fund sponsors in connection with a broad array of regulatory, compliance and contractual matters.
Clients trust Vanessa’s counsel when it comes to interpreting complex regulatory proposals as they pertain to pooled investment vehicles, and their investment advisers. She has experience counseling clients on fund structure, investment adviser registration or exempt reporting adviser filing requirements, as well as compliance policies and procedures.
