About Vladyslav

Vladyslav Semerynskyi is an associate in the International Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He specialises in international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration and domestic litigation in Poland. Vlad represents clients in disputes across various sectors, including construction, aerospace, commodities, energy, transportation and sports.

Vlad advises Ukrainian- and Russian-speaking clients on a variety of matters related to their business activities in Europe, with a particular focus on operations in Poland. His multilingual proficiency and understanding of the region enable him to provide tailored and effective legal solutions.

Vlad also serves as the coach of the Willem C. Vis Moot team at Lazarski University in Warsaw, Poland. As a law student, he was an active member of the team, achieving victories and podium placements in multiple pre-moot competitions across Europe. Additionally, Vlad is the winner of the arbitration competition at the Court of Arbitration Lewiatan in Warsaw – the most prestigious arbitration moot court in Poland.

  • Representing a state road department in a dispute board proceeding against a major global construction company concerning a dispute arising from a highway construction project.
  • Advising a Polish manufacturing company in an ICAC arbitration against a Ukrainian wood supplier.
  • Advising an investor in a leading telecommunications company on an investment dispute concerning the state's obligations related to telecom services.
  • Advising a major engineering and construction company in negotiations concerning a dispute with a Polish state-owned company related to an EPC project.
  • Advising a Polish voivodeship in complex parallel proceedings related to stadium construction, encompassing disputes with a contractor, a designer and an insurer.
