    Senate Bill 5 is game-changing legislation for public employers. This program, which will simultaneously be presented at the Squire Sanders Cleveland and Columbus offices on Tuesday, April 12, will provide an overview of the impact of key portions of the legislation including:

    • Collective bargaining
    • Health care and retirement contributions
    • Teacher compensation/salary schedules
    • Reductions in force
    • Other education reforms
    • Effective dates and impact on current employment contracts and collective bargaining agreements

    The program will address the impact of a referendum and provide practical insights for districts with respect to negotiations and implementing changes. The program also will feature a question and answer panel discussion regarding the budget bill and a preview of how these proposed changes, including the education reform provisions, could impact districts.
