    Squire Sanders is pleased to host a live webcast of the Practicing Law Institute’s (PLI) “Pocket MBA: Finance for Lawyers Fall 2011” in our Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus offices on September 26-27. This program is for non-accountant lawyers seeking to increase their knowledge and understanding of key accounting, financial and economic concepts, principles and technology. Topics to be discussed include:

    • Navigating basic financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and statements of owners’ equity
    • Core accounting concepts including cash versus accrual accounting, impairment assessments, revenue recognition and valuation methodologies
    • Key corporate finance concepts including financial ratios and analysis
    • International accounting and finance considerations
    • Schemes used to perpetrate financial fraud
