The presentation will explore tort, civil and criminal liability, as well as tools that may be used to protect the interests of the parties including:

  • Informed consent
  • Contractual agreements
  • Disclaimers
  • Limitation of liability provisions
  • Indemnifications
  • Insurance protections
  • Forms of business organization

Other topics to be discussed at the Congress include:

  • Quality assurance and accreditation
  • eHealth and the future of medical tourism and technology
  • Jordan as a wellness destination

The Congress is the result of decades of attention focused on the high standards and quality of Jordan’s healthcare services. Jordan is increasingly visited by international patients seeking advanced services at competitive prices. The event will provide a venue for engagement between representatives of medical service agencies, health insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, embassies, airline companies and other entities in the global healthcare and medical tourism industries. It aims to facilitate better understanding of the benefits of medical and wellness tourism worldwide and identification of emerging innovations and international standards.
