The health and wellbeing of employees directly affects organisational performance.  Whether short-term and sporadic or long-term and serious, absence affects not just the employee but the team as a whole. Presenteeism can be even more disruptive.  However, these issues can be avoided and improved by effective management and policies and simple proactive interventions can add significant value to business performance.

There is no health without mental health. Mental health issues at work are often unseen, untreated and  detrimental to an employee and those around him.  Yet it can be effectively managed given the right interventions.  Coupled with this, questions of employee resilience have also come to the fore because of increasing demands on organisations and employees to perform.  However, this is not just about working long hours and coping with stress - it’s a proactive and strategic perspective aimed at ensuring employees have every opportunity to achieve their potential and sustainable performance levels for the business.

In today’s economy the health, wellbeing and resilience of employees are primary levers for HR professionals to add value to business performance and the bottom line.  A recent CIPD report highlighted employee wellbeing as the biggest driver of engagement.  Squire Sanders is sponsoring and hosting this seminar which covers:
