Budget Bingo – a Full House of Pensions Developments Seminar
16 May 2014
Squire Sanders, 2 Park Lane, Leeds, LS3 1ES
The flexibilities announced in this year’s Budget were described by the Pensions Minister as a “radical liberalisation of the retirement savings market”. Diverse views have been expressed. There is no doubt that the pensions industry is faced with a plethora of new issues to absorb and implement.
In addition to the Budget, there are many other issues that trustees and employers need to consider at present, for example:
the need to agree and document the level of survivor benefits to be provided to same sex spouses
the Government’s recent command paper on defined contribution plans which heralds changes from April 2015 for both trust and contract based workplace pension plans
numerous other hot topics
Our pensions breakfast seminar addresses the practical issues and actions needed. We will assess the impact on both defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans. The seminar should be of interest to employers, trustees and pensions professionals.
If you would prefer to attend at an alternative location, we are also running this event at our Birmingham, Manchester and London offices.
