12 November 2014
Squire Patton Boggs, The Capitol Conference Room, 1200 19th Street, NW, 3rd Floor, Washington DC
Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to host Harvard Law School and Brookings Institution scholar Stuart N. Brotman as he presents a preview of his soon-to-be published research highlighting the most comprehensive assessment to date of what countries comprise the top tier of global broadband leaders; how they achieved their broadband leadership positions; and what lessons they can offer for continued Net Vitality - an environment that emphasizes innovation, openness and ubiquity.
In recent years, the majority of countries around the world have devoted increased attention to government planning and accompanying regulatory initiatives to navigate future Internet growth and development. Concurrently, a wide range of timely, reliable metrics have been developed that are useful in calibrating how well individual countries are performing in an increasingly rich broadband world.
This data, along with case examples of countries that now comprise the top tier leadership ranks for broadband, provides unique insights about what all governments should be aiming at over time to achieve greater Net Vitality.
