    Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to participate in the Caribe Health Summit on Thursday, June 11 in Puerto Rico.

    Caribe Health Summit will unite government officials, top-notch healthcare industry leaders, doctors, academia, tourism sector and entrepreneurs to discuss new opportunities in medical tourism in Puerto Rico. This event is structured with an all-day hands-on conference, with workshops and keynote speakers, exhibit hall, networking sessions with certified providers.

    Squire Patton Boggs principal John Wyand will be part of the "Puerto Rico: A Case Study" panel taking place at 9:30 a.m. The panel will discuss the government’s interest in developing  a robust inbound medical tourism industry in Puerto Rico, and will particularly focus on medical malpractice issues and ways to mitigate related risk. John will discuss the general legal issues related to medical tourism.
