We are delighted to present "The EU General Data Protection Regulation: Preparing for Substantial Changes on the Horizon," a MCLE-eligible seminar hosted in conjunction with the Irish American Bar Association.
The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was approved by the EU Parliament on April 14, 2016 and is expected to be enforced as soon as May 2018. Within that time period, companies processing data of EU subjects are expected to become compliant with the provisions set forth in the regulation.
The course will be conducted by Phil Zender, co-chair of our Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Group, Gretchen Ramos, a Certified Information Privacy Professional in both the US and Europe (CIPP/US, CIPP/E), and Siegmar Pohl, a US and Germany dual-qualified lawyer with particular experience in technology law across multiple jurisdictions.
Admission is free for members of the Irish American Bar Association or US$15 for non-members. The IABA will provide 1.0 hours of MCLE credit in California.
