The news is just in and Donald J. Trump has been elected as the 45th President of the United States. The ramifications for US fiscal and economic policy in the post-Obama world will be huge, and of course there will be significant implications for countries around the globe and for the many international organizations that have American business interests or look to invest in the US.

Please join us in our London office on Monday 14 November for a special breakfast briefing and open discussion on the future of US fiscal policy and tax reform under President Trump.

Matthew Cutts, our Head of Tax Public Policy, Washington DC, and Linda Pfatteicher, Partner in Tax Strategy & Benefits, San Francisco, will share their insights on the new president, his new administration and the options it now has with a Republican majority Congress in dealing with US Corporate Tax reform, the implementation of BEPS, overseas State aid investigations and the challenges to US businesses.

Joining Matthew and Linda for the panel discussion are two of the UK’s most distinguished tax and business commentators, Vanessa Houlder of the Financial Times, Rob Fontana-Reval, Head of Economic Policy at the CBI. Our panellists will look at the implications of the Trump Presidency for the UK and EU in the context of regional tax developments, tax avoidance policies and the OECD’s international programme.
