    The Venture Law Meetup is an informal meetup for technology startups. Held on the first and third Friday of the month, it is a chance to hear about startup law and business issues, as well as network with startup entrepreneurs, investors and advisers.

    Each event will include a complimentary talk from our venture law team and other industry players – bringing you up to speed with legal, business and funding issues impacting tech startups and their investors.

    Agenda for 21 July 2017

    This meetup will focus on privacy and data security for startups and the threat data breaches and cyber hackers now pose to the security of personal information held by startups and other businesses. We will focus on obligations under the Privacy Act in storing, collecting and handling customer data and necessary measures to keep data secure.
