Squire Patton Boggs has announced that it has signed the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations' Green Pledge, an initiative aiming to reduce the environmental impact of international arbitrations.
By signing up to the Green Pledge, the firm’s International Dispute Resolution Practice has committed to minimizing its environmental impact by looking for opportunities to reduce energy consumption and waste. Measures include avoiding unnecessary travel, encouraging the use of videoconferencing facilities, promoting the use of electronic bundles at hearings and, where possible, using suppliers and service providers who are committed to reducing their environmental footprint.
Stephen Anway, global co-chair of the International Dispute Resolution Practice, said: “We are committed to being a responsible business and strive to incorporate sustainability into everything we do.
“The guiding principles of the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations are consistent with our strategy to reduce our environmental footprint, and we look forward to supporting this initiative and continuing in our efforts to promote a more sustainable future.”
