We are pleased to be participating in and speaking at the 2018 Antitrust in Healthcare Conference, co-sponsored by the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Antitrust Law, ABA Section of Health Law and the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), on Thursday, May 17 and Friday, May 18 in Arlington, Virginia. Partner Alicia J. Batts will be co-presenting on Friday, May 18, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on the topic of "Insurance Mergers – Efficiencies and Monopsony Power." Alicia’s session will explore the efficiencies potential of insurance mergers within the Merger Guidelines framework and examine whether monopsony power in health insurance can sometimes benefit consumers.
