    Are you sure you are compliant with the National Minimum Wage (NMW) regulations?

    Worryingly, many employers that pay at or even above the NMW are inadvertently non-compliant with the regulations, and HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is actively investigating employers across the UK for breaches.

    Unfortunately, it is not as straightforward as whether your hourly rates comply with the rules – a HMRC audit involves a detailed review of both your pay and your working practices. You could be at risk of breach for something as simple as offering your employees salary sacrifice arrangements (e.g. for pension contributions), requiring them to wear specific types of clothing or even administering gym memberships, Christmas savings clubs, etc.

    This session will look at the common pay and working practices that frequently cause employers to make unconscious breaches of the NMW and review your own business practices to make sure you are fully compliant. In addition, the session will highlight areas where you could be exposed and will help you to address any issues before HMRC pays a visit.

    After the session, the Hampton Manor staff will offer short tours around the manor for any delegates who are interested in having a closer look at this beautiful venue.
