UK Employment Law Webinar – COVID-19: What Should Employers Be Doing Next?

Region: Europe
14 September 2021
Webinar

Most COVID-19 restrictions have now been lifted in England, but it is still very much not business as usual. Employers continue to face a range of difficult employment law issues, from how to bring staff back to the office to ensuring the workplace is safe going forward.

Join us at our September webinar, when we will discuss the key issues employers are likely to face as we enter this next phase of the pandemic, as well as practical tips on how to manage them. This session will act as a useful refresher for HR professionals and in-house counsel on all things COVID-19-related, including:

  • Bringing your staff back to the workplace – with most office staff unlikely to be back in the office on a regular basis until September, we discuss ongoing challenges, from whether to ask about vaccination status to managing and documenting requests for hybrid working.
  • Managing your staff in the workplace, including your health and safety obligations, the latest position on self-isolation, how to manage staff with long COVID-19, etc.
  • Next steps – preparing your business for the future, including the closure of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, the likelihood of needing to make further cost-cutting measures, etc.
  • What are other businesses doing? We discuss how different companies/sectors are responding to the current challenges.

We will also bring you up to speed with any non-COVID-19 employment law developments, including the government’s proposal to introduce a new mandatory duty on employers to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.

The main webinar presentation will last 50 minutes, followed by a 10-minute online question and answer session.
