Are you keen to try something new? Whether you are an aspiring triathlete, a pool swimmer looking to transition to outdoor swimming or just fancy attending a networking event with a difference – this could be right up your street!
Join us and The Outdoor Swimming Company for an hour-long introductory swim session, teaching you the basics of swimming in open water, an activity that is proven to benefit mental and physical health, wellbeing and confidence*.
The session will include a full safety briefing and educational pointers covering water entry, acclimatisation, basic open water skills and in-water safety. There is no requirement to provide any equipment, other than your own swimming costume or trunks/shorts, as swim caps and tow floats will all be provided.
While it is billed as an introductory session, it is open to all competent swimmers (that can swim 750 meters at an easy pace), even those that may have tried outdoor swimming before.
After the session, hot food and drinks will be provided for further networking time among the group.
