Pensions Dashboards will soon become a reality, allowing members of the public to request to see their occupational, personal and state pension information side by side. Draft regulations set out the dates by which schemes will be required to connect with dashboards, with the first schemes scheduled to connect by the end of June 2023. The time frames are ambitious, but compliance failures could be heavily penalised. Trustees and pensions providers should have plans in place to ensure that their scheme is data-ready and should seek legal advice to ensure that service provider contracts reflect dashboards responsibilities.
