Eight months after the release of a draft for public comments in October 2021, China finally promulgated the amended Antimonopoly Law (AML), which will become effective on August 1, 2022. Whereas the amended AML conceptually retains the safe harbor mechanism for monopolistic agreements that was proposed in the draft amendment in 2021, significant changes exist.
