As we end 2022, we take a look back at the year in the world of planning law. From proposed planning reform to landmark decisions, 2022 has not been a quiet year in our specialism, although the political turmoil has often led to delays in needed reform, which will likely mean 2023 will be a busy year for new legislation and revised policy alike. In this article we have considered the Levelling-up and Regeneration Bill as well as the Hillside Parks decision, the NPPF consultation and biodiversity net gain.
