In August 2023, the European Commission (EC) asserted jurisdiction to assess two acquisitions that did not reach the notification thresholds at EU or national levels. The EC accepted requests from member states to assess Qualcomm/Autotalks and EEX/Nasdaq Power under Article 22 of the EU Merger Regulation (EUMR).
