The Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill contains a number of proposals which would make changes to the current planning enforcement regime. The Bill is now in its final stages, with the most recent amendments being made by the House of Commons on 18 October 2023. This article, a first in a miniseries on the ways in which the Bill will impact planning enforcement, relates to the proposed increased time limits for planning enforcement, and the practical implications these may have going forward.
