The Corporate and Commercial teams in Leeds celebrated victory again at the prestigious Yorkshire Legal Awards, picking up the trophy for ‘Corporate and Commercial Team of the Year’ at an awards ceremony held at New Dock Hall in Leeds; the second consecutive year that they have won the award.
The ceremony, now in its 16th year, saw some of the region’s most talented lawyers recognised for their achievements.
The team was recognised for its work on many of the region’s high profile deals; advising Imperial Mobility International B.V. on the £162.9m acquisition of Palletways Group; advising Lloyds Development Capital on the MBO of Zyro; advising Endless on the MBO of Adare, and acting for H2 Equity Partners on the £25m MBO of GB UK Healthcare and GB UK Enteral.
Commenting on the team’s success, Leeds office managing partner John Alderton said: “I’m delighted that we have picked up this award in what is always an extremely competitive category. The icing on the cake was the Judges’ comment that we are “the go to firm for international work,” which is particularly gratifying.”
