The profits the group generates fund the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a charity which supports science and engineering-related research, education and public engagement.

Founded in 2003, Nettitude is an award-winning provider of cybersecurity assurance, risk management and managed detection and response services, to organisations across the globe. With 140 employees worldwide, Nettitude is a research-led organisation that has developed innovative tools and techniques to mitigate the constantly evolving cyber threat.

The Squire Patton Boggs team was led by Corporate partner Claire Scott-Priestley in London and involved lawyers from the firm’s Corporate, Intellectual Property & Technology, Tax Strategy & Benefits, Real Estate and Labour & Employment practices in the UK and US.

“We are delighted to support our client Lloyd’s Register on this significant strategic acquisition,” commented Claire Scott-Priestley. “Globally, businesses are facing increased cyber threat, while, at the same time, having to comply with changing regulation on cybersecurity. The transaction expands Lloyd’s Register’s own services in this important area.”
