Squire Patton Boggs has advised WH Ireland Limited, as nominated adviser and broker to Various Eateries plc, on its admission to trading on AIM and £25 million placing.

The Squire Patton Boggs Capital Markets team was led by Corporate partner, Jayson Marks, assisted by legal director Louise Barber and associate Chris Blair.

Various Eateries is a hospitality group that operates restaurants and two hotel sites in the UK. The core brands of the Various Eateries group are Coppa Club and Tavolino. Coppa Club is a multiuse, all-day concept that combines restaurant, terrace, café, lounge, bar and work spaces, whilst Tavolino aims to address a gap in the market for high-quality Italian food at mid-market prices. The group currently operates across 10 locations and intends to use the proceeds of the fundraising to expand by taking advantage of site opportunities, reduced competition, availability of talent and changes in consumer behaviour resulting from the stresses of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Various Eateries board combines extensive experience in developing some of the UK’s most successful hospitality groups and includes Hugh Osmond (formerly of PizzaExpress, MyKinda Town and Punch Group); Andy Bassadone (formerly of Côte Restaurants, Bill’s, The Ivy Collection and My Kinda Town); Yishay Malkov (formerly of The Ivy Collection, Gordon Ramsay Holdings and Roka Zuma); and Oli Williams (formerly of Itsu and McDonald’s).

Lead partner, Jayson Marks commented, “We are delighted to have worked with the WH Ireland and Various Eateries teams on the company’s successful AIM IPO and fundraising, particularly during such a challenging time for hospitality businesses generally. The transaction will provide a catalyst for the group’s growth in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
