The Squire Patton Boggs Financial Services Practice has advised on the refinancing for the CSL Group, an ECI backed company. It was led by partner James Collis, assisted by James Washington, Bryony Sen and Matt Ryan.

Founded in the UK in 1996, the CSL Group is today a market leader in providing critical connectivity solutions to the Fire, Security and Telecare Sectors globally. CSL services over 1 million M2M devices and monitors 4 billion events through its platforms each month across the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain and Ireland.
ECI Partners LLP is the leading growth-focused mid-market private equity firm that focuses on technological and market disruption as well as long-term structural trends in the TMT, business and financial services, and consumer sectors. ECI acquired 100% of the issued share capital of CSL from CSL’s former investors in July 2020. Squire Patton Boggs’ Private Equity team, led by partners Charles Leeming in London and James Fitzgibbon in Manchester, advised ECI on the investment.
James Collis commented: “We were pleased to support on this important transaction and the team enjoyed working closely with management and ECI to bring it to a successful conclusion.”
