Mr. Koppele has extensive experience advising companies, funds, and financial institutions on tax matters in a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions, bankruptcy and other restructurings, funds and investments, capital markets transactions, real estate investments, financings, and financial products.

Mr. Koppele represents US and non-US buyers and sellers in M&A transactions, and advises clients on inbound and outbound tax planning and transactions, including tax-efficient structures for investments in US real estate, infrastructure, and operating businesses.  He advises US and global fund managers on structuring, formation and operation of private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and debt funds, and REITs. Mr. Koppele counsels lenders and borrowers on domestic and cross-border leveraged credit facilities, as well as repo, securities lending, and other financing transactions. He speaks and writes extensively on technical tax topics and is recognized by The Legal 500 for outstanding work in financial products tax.
