Squire Patton Boggs has merged its fast-breaking data-privacy, privacy litigation and cyber security blogs, Consumer Privacy World (CPW) and Security & Privacy Bytes (SPB).

While CPW provides the latest news on privacy litigation, SPB is a source of news and insights on cyber security, privacy and data protection regulations impacting business globally. The new combined blog will resume the title CPW, continuing its tradition of editors and authors who serve as highly experienced lawyers possessing decades of expertise handling complex data privacy and cybersecurity issues.

“I am thrilled about the merger of our CPW and SPB blogs as part of the continued growth and improvement of our Global Data Practice,” said Kristin Bryan, Senior Associate Editor in Chief of the merged CPW. “Both sites have developed reputations as go-to resources for the latest developments in this rapidly evolving area and I look forward to informing subscribers on the evolving law on data privacy, security and innovation from a unified, global platform.”

“We are excited to merge our CPW and SPB Blogs,” said Alan Friel, recently named Co-Chair of Global Data Privacy, Cybersecurity & Digital Assets. “We will continue to keep subscribers informed on the evolving law on data privacy, security and innovation from a one stop shop.”

Consolidating the two blogs promotes a more streamlined process for receiving the latest information on all things data law. The blogs that each garnered thousands of reader’s daily can now be accessed in one centralized location at privacyworld.blog.

The new blog will also combine contributors from both entities. The merger provides a worthwhile opportunity for the CPW audience to learn about new information and global developments, subscribers and interested readers can expect continued daily must-read updates.
