Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that Sabrina Aïnouz, a partner in its International Dispute Resolution Practice Group, has been elected to the board of the Paris Arbitration Week Association (PAW) for the 2022-2025 term.

Paris Arbitration Week was launched in 2017 by fellow Squire Patton Boggs partner José Feris and a group of leading members of the Paris arbitration community. Last year, the group set itself up as a separate association to manage the organisation of Paris Arbitration Week, which takes place next year from March 28 through to April 1.

Mr. Feris, who steps down from the board at the end of this year, commented: “As one of the founding members, our idea was to create an organisation that would represent the richness of the Paris arbitration community, with a diverse group of professionals working together to showcase our city as a vibrant centre for international arbitration.

“Sabrina’s energy, expertise and leading reputation in the Paris arbitration market makes her a perfect choice as a new member of the board. I am proud of Sabrina’s election and as one of the new board members, she will play an important role in the next chapter of PAW.”

Ms. Aïnouz said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to the board and very much look forward to working with the committee and driving the continued success of Paris Arbitration Week.”

Ms. Aïnouz represents states, state-owned entities and private sector companies in commercial and investment arbitrations in a wide range of fields including oil and gas, mining, construction, telecommunications, agriculture and post-M&A disputes. She was reappointed by the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) World Council as ICC Court member for Algeria for a three year term in July 2021, and in September she was also appointed as Ambassador of the ICC Africa Commission.
