Squire Patton Boggs has advised Ricardo plc on its third Australian acquisition. Ricardo is a multi-industry consultancy for engineering, technology, product innovation and strategy listed on the London Stock Exchange. It has acquired Adelaide-based environmental and technical advisory services company Inside Infrastructure Pty Ltd.
Inside Infrastructure’s customer base complements Ricardo’s existing presence in water and utilities and presents an opportunity to expand its footprint into the mining and government sectors.
Australia managing partner Campbell Davidson led a team comprising of counsel Clive Lee and associate Emma Connolly on the transaction. Mr Davidson said: “In the current market capacity building is a key factor in success – and we are very pleased to be able to assist Ricardo in bringing more capabilities on board”.
The global business law firm has previously acted in Ricardo’s acquisitions of Transport Engineering Pty Ltd, a leading rail technical services consultancy firm and PLC Consulting Pty Ltd, which provides technical advisory services across the full life cycle of infrastructure and environmental planning projects.
