Squire Patton Boggs has advised the UK’s leading vacant property and vulnerable assets services provider Orbis Protect on the acquisition of Secure Site UK, a specialist security solutions expert. This is the second transaction the firm has completed for Orbis Protect, following its acquisition of Veritas Property Management last year.
The team advising Orbis Protect was led by Corporate partner Paul Mann, and included senior associate Louisa Hine.
Orbis Protect employs more than 600 staff across 25 UK locations, working with clients across the private and public sectors. Its services include a combination of physical security, technology security and monitoring of vulnerable assets for customers across a range of sectors. Additionally, Orbis supports customers by providing property management services including clearance, cleaning, infection control and pest management. Orbis also provides contact centre services and protects more than 60,000 people with personalised alarm systems through its in-house fully accredited alarm receiving centre.
With over 30 years of industry expertise, Secure Site UK is a leading provider of electronic surveillance, access management and perimeter security services, delivered to a wide range of sectors including retail, automotive, leisure and construction.
The acquisition of Secure Site UK will enhance the enlarged group’s security offering, expand its technology base for customers, as well as expand its services across key geographical markets.
Paul Mann commented: “We’re delighted to have advised Orbis Protect on a further acquisition which will support the company’s long-term growth strategy and maintain its position as the UK market leader for temporary security services.”
