Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that Samantha Smart has rejoined the firm in its Perth, Australia office as a partner in the global Corporate Practice Group, focusing on energy, mining and natural resources. She most recently served as a Director in PwC’s Perth legal practice.
“Samantha is well-known across our firm and by many of our key clients,” said Tony Chong, Head of Corporate Australia. “She brings substantial expertise in important areas of focus for our practice, and we are delighted to welcome her back to the firm.”
For more than 17 years, Ms. Smart has advised Australian and international clients on private mergers and acquisitions, sale and purchase arrangements and project development and operation across the power, energy and resources sector, including oil and gas, hard rock mining, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage and renewables projects. She is a member of the WA Committee for the Energy & Resources Law Association (formerly AMPLA); a recent member of the Australian Resources and Energy Law Journal Editorial Board; and a member of the Australian Institute of Petroleum Negotiators.
