Global law firm Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce the addition of partner Naveen Pogula into its global Corporate Practice. He joins the Atlanta office from Thompson Hine, where he was a partner in the Corporate Transactions & Securities Practice and as a member of the Securities, Capital Markets & Corporate Governance team.
“Continuing to build our global Corporate practice, particularly in the securities and capital markets space, and expanding our footprint in our Atlanta office are strategic priorities for the firm,” said Cipriano Beredo, Americas Chair of the Corporate Practice and a member of the firm’s Global Board. “Naveen’s diverse background handling sophisticated domestic and international transactions fits perfectly into our practice.”
Atlanta Managing Partner Petrina Hall McDaniel added, “Atlanta has a robust corporate presence and Naveen’s addition builds our full service offering to the market. We are delighted he has joined us.”
Mr. Pogula supports and advises buyers, sellers and investors on structuring and executing mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and other business combination transactions. He has extensive experience advising public companies on corporate governance and securities matters with emphasis on compliance with SEC registration and periodic reporting requirements. He also has deep international expertise handling capital markets and financing transactions, including representation of issuers, underwriters and investors.
“The advantages that come with being at a firm with the international scale of Squire’s Corporate Practice, its expanding portfolio of publicly traded securities law clients and commitment to growing in Atlanta were all compelling factors in joining the firm,” Mr. Pogula commented. “I am excited to be part of the team.”
In June, the firm announced the addition of Atlanta Financial Services partner Andrea Dinamarco. Squire Patton Boggs has been recognized as one of the fastest growing law firms in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicles for the last two years in a row.
