Squire Patton Boggs has advised the owners of Village Vets, the largest independent group of veterinary practices in Ireland, and Pawprints Cremation, operator of Ireland’s largest pet crematorium, on an investment by UK-based private equity firm Inflexion. Village Vets had been a family-run business since 1980 and this investment will support further expansion in its practices. Charles Cosgrave will continue to lead Village Vets after the investment.
The Squire Patton Boggs team advising owners Charles Cosgrove and Julianne Moriarty was led by partners George Kennedy, Diarmuid Ryan and James Fitzgibbon. It builds on a series of deals on which Squire Patton Boggs has recently advised on in Ireland including BGF Ireland’s investment in the Avoca Clinic, Renatus’ investment in WH Scott and Planet’s investment in Fexco Tax Free, as the firm’s recently opened Dublin office got off to a very busy start.
