Squire Patton Boggs Grows Intellectual Property Practice

Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that Malisheia Douglas has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Intellectual Property & Technology Law Practice.

She joins from global power management company Eaton Corporation, where she served as in-house counsel specializing in a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark procurement, litigation, portfolio management, and opinion work. Additionally, she led multiple key initiatives involving anti-counterfeiting, brand protection, licensing, and cybersecurity.

“Malisheia’s background spanning private practice and in house at a global public company gives her unique insights on the evolving legal and business issues many of our clients face,” said David Elkins, global Intellectual Property & Technology practice group leader. “Her specialty experience in sectors including chemicals and manufacturing dovetail with centers of excellence within our firm and will strengthen our strong offering to clients. We are excited she has joined the team.”

Ms. Douglas earned her JD from The University of Akron School of Law and her BE in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is licensed to practice before the USPTO and previously served as President of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association.
