Squire Patton Boggs is advising Bionova Scientific, an Asahi Kasei Group company and full-service biologics contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), on the development of a 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility in The Woodlands, Texas (near Houston).
The facility will serve as the centerpiece of the company’s expansion into plasmid DNA (pDNA) production in the United States, producing critical starting material for cell and gene therapy, DNA/RNA-based, and recombinant protein therapeutics.
