Squire Patton Boggs has advised environmental and engineering consultancy Ricardo plc on the sale of Ricardo Defense, Inc to Proteus Enterprises LLC, a Maryland-based Aerospace, Defense and Government Services holding company and Gladstone Investment Corporation. The sale is part of Ricardo’s ongoing transformation programme to reposition its portfolio in line with the shift to environmental and energy-transition solutions.

Ricardo Defense, Inc., headquartered in Troy, Michigan, is an engineering services and systems integration company specialising in delivering integrated vehicle engineering solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense and prime contractors. The company employs approximately 240 individuals, with operations primarily in the United States and some field services operating internationally.
