Squire Patton Boggs has advised Fortescue Ltd (Fortescue), the Australia-based technology, energy and metals group, on the acquisition of Nabrawind Technologies SL, a Spain-based company design and development of advanced wind technologies for wind turbine components, as well as engineering services advisory.

Founded in Navarre, Spain, in 2014, Nabrawind Technologies is dedicated to the design, development, manufacturing and commercialization of advanced wind technologies for wind turbine components. The transaction builds on Fortescue's previous minority stake and strengthens its international innovation ecosystem in support of its decarbonisation strategy. It places Nabrawind within Fortescue’s extensive network of global partners to accelerate the deployment of green energy solutions worldwide, providing Nabrawind with the financial backing and execution pipeline necessary to bring its very tall wind towers to global markets.
