Georgi Ambarzumjan is an associate in the Corporate Practice based in our Berlin office. As a dual-qualified Rechtsanwalt in Germany and a solicitor in England and Wales, he has multijurisdictional experience and advises German- and English-speaking clients on domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions, as well as general corporate law matters.

Georgi’s practice covers both the buy-side and sell-side of acquisitions, as well as joint ventures. Georgi has also gained additional experience in foreign direct investment and banking law matters, the latter as legal counsel to a leading fintech company.

Parallel to his professional life, Georgi has been actively involved in national and international civic activities. Since 2020, he has been serving as Founding President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union Germany e.V. (AGBU Germany), the German chapter of the world’s largest Armenian charity organisation.

Prior to joining the firm, Georgi worked in the M&A and private equity practice groups of other renowned US law firms in Frankfurt and New York.

  • Advising Deutsche Bank on the strategic cross-border disposal of a portfolio of US$1 billion of shipping loans spread across a diversified pool of maritime sectors and sponsors.*
