Brandon Arents is a senior associate in the Phoenix office and focuses his practice on public finance and infrastructure matters for state agencies, cities, counties, school districts and universities. Brandon has assisted as bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel in a variety of tax-exempt and taxable financings, including financings secured by project revenues, excise taxes, property taxes, municipal leases, certificates of participation, utility systems revenues and pledged revenues.

Prior to joining the firm, Brandon completed a clerkship with Judge Patricia A. Orozco at the Arizona Court of Appeals in Phoenix.

  • Representing Morgan Stanley as underwriter’s counsel on the issuance of approximately US$225.3 million wastewater system revenue refunding bonds.
  • Representing the Arizona Board of Regents as bond counsel on the issuance of approximately US$44 million University of Arizona system revenue and revenue refunding bonds and approximately US$142.4 million system revenue bonds.
  • Representing Merrill Lynch as underwriter’s counsel on the issuance of approximately US$75.4 million city of Mesa utility systems revenue refunding bonds.
