Cipriano Beredo, the Americas Chair of the Corporate Practice, regularly advises public companies and privately held businesses on mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate finance transactions, and a wide range of corporate governance and general business matters.

Cip has particular experience representing corporations and private equity firms in leading complex multijurisdictional acquisition and divestiture transactions. He has completed transactions in more than 30 countries and routinely manages teams of professionals across the globe. Cip has led merger and acquisition transactions for acquirers and targets, including The Procter & Gamble Company, Timken, Eaton Corporation, Lincoln Electric, Goodrich Corporation, Visteon, Park-Ohio and Cedar Fair.

He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2011, most recently being named “Lawyer of the Year” for 2025 for Corporate Law in his region. He has been recognized by The Legal 500 US for his expertise in mergers and acquisitions, and in Ohio Super Lawyers since 2011. Cip was also selected by Crain’s Cleveland Business “40 Under 40.”

Cip is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the American Bar Association and is a graduate of Leadership Cleveland, Class of 2014. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio, the Achievement Centers for Children and the Cleveland Leadership Center.

  • Advising Eaton Corporation in its US$335 million acquisition of a major global aerospace company.
  • Advising a leading manufacturer of residential, commercial, industrial and municipal water treatment systems on a US$135 million disposition.
  • Advising a major international aerospace company on a US$30 million acquisition.
